My friend told me about this restaurant and I had to try it. I ended up going with some friends and it was absolutely delicious. We got patties, jerk chicken, fried chicken and oxtails. Everything was authentic and delicious. Each came with rice and peas, vegetables and plantains. Ordering is a little different. They have screens and you select what’s available. I suggest actually ordering a head and picking it up. If you have questions you can ring a bell. I will definitely be back.

This restaurant is a little pot of gold in High Point. I can't wait until they expand to Greensboro NC. The food taste like love from this mom & daughter team. The front of the house is ran by the daughter who is so very polite and charming. The food is prepared by the mother with excellent timing and is simply delicious. The prices are very reasonable especially in this economy! This is one of the Oxtail dinners we ordered. Sorry the curry shrimp jerk salmon & the other orders were gone before I wrote this review 😙

We stumbled upon this eatery after arriving at a nearby restaurant only to learn that they served Soul Food on Sundays. It was Saturday. My daughter, Julie, chose this place in part because of her Caribbean (Trinidad, Bahamas), heritage and it's proximity to their Air BnB. They were here to support my grandson Savion (the "New" Afro Ninja) during his participation in the World Ninja League Championships in Greensboro, NC. It turned out to be a great choice because the food was Off The Chain (in my Mel B Spice Girls voice)! I enjoyed their fried chicken (which was non-greasy), yellow rice with homemade dipping sauce (cooked to light and fluffy perfection), steamed cabbage (perfectly seasoned), and plantains (not too overly or under cooked). We dined on their front covered patio which provided a nice cool environment on a hot summer day. Our order taker also doubled as the "chefette" and she was very cordial and thankful for our business. If you plan to dine, call ahead to confirm their operating hours. I plan to revisit the next time that I am in the area. #trendmagazineonline

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars! We stopped by Island Fest today and had an amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was superb. The staff made us feel welcome, and the island vibes and music created the perfect atmosphere. The restaurant was clean, the food was hot and fresh, and every dish was full of flavor. We ordered the oxtail, stew chicken, and curry chicken. The gravy was absolutely fire, and the yellow rice was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right! If you're looking for authentic Jamaican food with great service and a warm, family-friendly environment, Island Fest is definitely worth a visit. We will be back! #IslandFest #JamaicanFood #Oxtail #CurryChicken #StewChicken #SupportLocal #Foodie #FamilyDining #IslandVibes

Had a wonderful experience at Island Fest. The service was quick, kind and accurate. I got oxtail, Mac n cheese, coco bread, jerk chicken patty and Pinapple ginger juice and everything was very good. The portion sizes for the oxtail were very generous compared to other places I’ve been and the oxtail was very tender and well seasoned. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to get good Jamaican food!

The service is amazing, as soon as you walk in a great big smile greats you and the smell is amazing. The music is fantastic the atmosphere is amazing and chill. Ordered the curry goat and am in love, half way through the plate was full but couldn’t stop myself from indulging. The mango lemonade is also fantastic. 10/10 would recommend and definitely delicious! Going to come back

We are so glad we came here for dinner today! Food was delicious, the lady out front is super sweet! I’m actually surprised that the restaurant was not fuller than it was, I did see the majority of customers taking the food to go! We tried the oxtail, jerk chicken, fried catfish, Mac and cheese, yellow rice and the rice and peas and all of it was amazing! Definitely coming back!

I came here just to try the chicken curry patties. Since it was my first time I didn’t want to purchase a whole meal and be disappointed. I ordered the chicken patty and my husband ordered the cabbage. Both items were very tasty. My husband likes his cabbage crunchy so if you don’t like crunchy cabbage you may not the way the cook theirs. The only disappointment I had was that the chicken meal was so small and not worth the price!! The thigh was very small!!! 🤦🏽‍♀️ but it had flavor. The restaurant is very clean as well as the bathroom!! I’ll come back and try something different.
